As previsões mais promissoras da OMC para 2017 e 2018 estão baseadas em certos pressupostos e há considerável risco de queda que a expansão ficará aquém dessas estimativas. O crescimento econômico global foi desequilibrado desde a crise financeira, mas, pela primeira vez em vários anos, todas as regiões da economia mundial devem sofrer uma recuperação sincronizada em 2017. Isso poderia reforçar o crescimento e proporcionar um impulso adicional ao comércio.
Indicadores avançados, incluindo o Indicador de Perspectivas do Comércio Mundial da OMC, apontam para um crescimento comercial mais forte no primeiro semestre de 2017, mas os choques políticos podem facilmente prejudicar tendências recentes positivas. A inflação inesperada poderia forçar os bancos centrais a apertar a política monetária mais rapidamente do que eles gostariam, subestimando o crescimento econômico e o comércio no curto prazo. Outros fatores, como a incerteza provocada pela retirada do Reino Unido da União Européia poderiam ter um efeito. Enquanto isso, a possibilidade de um aumento na aplicação de políticas comerciais restritivas poderia afetar os fluxos de demanda e investimento e reduzir o crescimento econômico no médio a longo prazo. À luz desses fatores, existe um risco significativo de que a expansão do comércio em 2017 caia na parte inferior do alcance.
A recuperação do comércio mundial este ano e a próxima baseia-se no esperado crescimento do PIB mundial real às taxas de câmbio do mercado de 2,7% em 2017 e de 2,8% em 2018. Historicamente, o volume do comércio mundial de mercadorias tende a crescer cerca de 1,5 vezes mais rápido do que a produção mundial, embora na década de 1990 tenha crescido mais de duas vezes mais rápido. No entanto, desde a crise financeira, a proporção do crescimento do comércio para o crescimento do PIB caiu para cerca de 1: 1. O ano passado marcou a primeira vez desde 2001 que essa proporção caiu abaixo de 1, para uma proporção de 0,6: 1 (Gráfico 1). Espera-se que o índice se recupere em parte em 2017, mas continua a ser motivo de preocupação.

Caixa 1: demanda ajustada de importação.
Um próximo documento de trabalho da OMC elaborado por Auboin e Borino examina a sensibilidade reduzida do comércio ao PIB, explicando a desaceleração do comércio pós-crise em termos de componentes de despesa da demanda (consumo, gastos governamentais, investimentos e exportações). O documento desenvolve uma medida de demanda ajustada pela intensidade de importação (IAD) que leva em consideração o conteúdo de importação das despesas, sendo o investimento mais intensivo em comércio na maioria dos países e as despesas do governo sendo as menores. Esta medida explica muito da desaceleração comercial desde 2018-15 e pode ajudar a melhorar a precisão das previsões comerciais no futuro. As projeções para 2017 e 2018 que utilizam a IAD produzem um crescimento de importação ligeiramente mais fraco para os países desenvolvidos e importações ligeiramente mais fortes para as economias em desenvolvimento, o que é esperado, dado as maiores taxas de investimento nos países em desenvolvimento.
A intensidade das importações pode mudar ao longo do tempo com implicações para o comércio mundial (ver Gráfico 2 e Apêndice, gráfico 1). Por exemplo, o conteúdo importado das despesas de investimento chinesas caiu de cerca de 30% em 2004 para 18% em 2018, na medida em que a China obteve bens intermediários no mercado interno. Enquanto isso, o conteúdo importado do investimento alemão aumentou de 24% para 38% entre 1995 e 2018. Essas mudanças poderiam provavelmente alterar a distribuição geográfica do comércio, com o comércio mais forte na Europa e o comércio mais fraco na Ásia. Os baixos preços do petróleo também deveriam reduzir o investimento no setor de energia, o que provavelmente contribuiu para a fraqueza das importações em regiões exportadoras de recursos em 2018.

O crescimento excepcionalmente baixo de 1,3% no volume mundial de comércio de mercadorias em 2018 foi o resultado de vários fatores de risco convergentes ao longo do ano. Estes pesaram sobre as importações de economias desenvolvidas e em desenvolvimento, embora as últimas tenham sido mais afetadas (Gráfico 3).
As economias em desenvolvimento sofreram uma queda acentuada de 3% nas importações no primeiro trimestre, equivalente a uma queda anualizada de 11,6%, mas o crescimento continuou no segundo trimestre e as perdas foram recuperadas até o final do ano. Entretanto, as importações das economias desenvolvidas continuaram a crescer, mas a um ritmo reduzido. A fraqueza das importações foi refletida no lado da exportação em um crescimento lento das remessas de países desenvolvidos e em desenvolvimento.
Para o ano, as importações de países desenvolvidos cresceram 2,0%, enquanto as economias em desenvolvimento estagnaram em 0,2%. As exportações registaram um crescimento modesto tanto nos países desenvolvidos como nos países em desenvolvimento, 1,4% no primeiro e 1,3% nos últimos.
As regiões geográficas foram afetadas em graus variáveis ​​pela queda no comércio em 2018 (Gráfico 4). O primeiro trimestre foi caracterizado por turbulências financeiras que afetaram a China e seus parceiros comerciais regionais, à medida que os receios de uma descida econômica e desvalorização da moeda aumentaram. As importações asiáticas caíram no primeiro trimestre, mas a queda foi de curta duração e a Ásia registrou crescimento de 2,0% no ano.

As diminuições nas importações da América do Sul e de outras regiões (incluindo a África, o Oriente Médio e a Comunidade de Estados Independentes) foram mais acentuadas e mais persistentes, impulsionadas principalmente por baixos preços das commodities. Grande parte do declínio da América do Sul foi devido ao Brasil, que permaneceu atolado em uma grave recessão. Enquanto isso, as exportações e as importações da Europa cresceram mais rapidamente do que as da América do Norte, que foram principalmente planas desde o início de 2018.

Apesar do crescimento positivo em suas exportações e importações, a América do Norte foi um dos maiores contribuintes para a fraqueza das importações mundiais em 2018. Isso é ilustrado pelo Gráfico 5, que mostra as contribuições regionais para o crescimento do volume do comércio mundial. Em 2018, as importações da América do Norte adicionaram 1,2 pontos percentuais ao crescimento das importações mundiais de 2,9%, ou 42% do aumento total. Em contrapartida, a região apenas contribuiu com 0,1 pontos percentuais para o crescimento das importações mundiais de 1,2% no ano passado.
A Ásia ea Europa foram as únicas regiões a fazer contribuições positivas significativas para a demanda global de importação em 2018, com a Europa contribuindo 1,6 pontos percentuais (39% do aumento total) e Ásia adicionando 1,9 pontos percentuais (49% do total).

As razões para o desempenho fraco do comércio da América do Norte são multifacetadas, mas incluem baixos preços do petróleo e taxas de investimento em declínio, particularmente no setor de energia. O investimento realizado essencialmente não contribuiu positivamente para o crescimento do PIB nos Estados Unidos em 2018 (ver Apêndice gráfico 1).
O investimento é o componente mais intensivo em importações do PIB e foi particularmente fraco nos países desenvolvidos desde a crise financeira, com fortes contrações na Europa em 2018 e 2018 durante a crise da dívida soberana. A contribuição do investimento para o crescimento econômico da China também diminuiu, embora de forma mais gradual. O investimento representou mais da metade do crescimento do PIB da China em 2018-13, mas, até 2018, isso caiu para 39%.
Os preços das commodities e as taxas de câmbio desempenharam um papel importante no decepcionante desempenho comercial de 2018. Os preços de petróleo e metais em declínio desde meados de 2018 reduziram as exportações de regiões de receita para comprar importações. Os preços das commodities se estabilizaram e realizaram uma recuperação parcial, mas um retorno aos níveis de preços de alguns anos atrás é improvável, desde que os estoques de petróleo permaneçam altos e o dólar norte-americano permaneça forte (Gráfico 6).
As reduções dos preços das commodities têm impactos distributivos em todos os países, ajudando os importadores líquidos e prejudicando os exportadores líquidos, pelo que seu impacto é ambíguo em princípio. Na prática, no entanto, o deslizamento de preços desde 2018 parece ter tido um grande impacto negativo nos países produtores de petróleo sem um impacto positivo correspondente nos países importadores.

Os valores do dólar dos fluxos de comércio internacional foram fortemente influenciados pelas taxas de câmbio nos últimos anos. Em 2018, as exportações mundiais de mercadorias foram avaliadas em US $ 15,46 trilhões, queda de 3,3% em relação ao ano anterior. Todas as regiões registraram declínios nas exportações, com a menor queda registrada pela Europa (-0,3%) e a maior registrada pela Commonwealth of Independent States (-16,2%). No lado das importações, a Europa registou um pequeno aumento de 0,2%, enquanto todas as outras regiões registraram declínios (ver Tabelas do Anexo 1 e ndash; 6 e Apêndice, gráfico 2, para o desenvolvimento do comércio nominal).
Não houve mudanças importantes nos rankings de exportadores de mercadorias e importadores. A República da Coréia caiu do 6º para o 8º lugar nas classificações de exportação, quando os países membros da União Européia são contados separadamente, mas só caiu do 5º ao 6º lugar, sendo a UE tratada como um único comerciante.
O Gráfico 2 mostra o crescimento ano-a-ano das exportações mensais e as importações de principais comerciantes selecionados até fevereiro. Os valores comerciais estão se recuperando claramente nos primeiros meses de 2017, mas se esse crescimento pode ser sustentado ao longo do ano continua a ser visto. Grande parte do aumento pode ser explicada pela fraqueza no crescimento do comércio no ano anterior, em vez de um forte crescimento no ano atual.

As exportações mundiais de serviços comerciais foram praticamente inalteradas em 2018, depois de ter caído 5,5% em valor em 2018. Isso é ilustrado pelo Gráfico 7, que mostra o crescimento do valor em dólares das exportações de serviços comerciais desde 2018, discriminado pelas principais categorias de serviços. O comércio total de serviços comerciais cresceu apenas 0,1% em 2018 e os serviços de transporte caíram 4,7%. Outros tipos de exportação de serviços apresentaram aumentos modestos, incluindo outros serviços comerciais, uma categoria que inclui serviços financeiros.
As divisões detalhadas do comércio de serviços comerciais por região e país são apresentadas nos quadros dos apêndices 2, 5 e 6. A Ásia registrou o maior aumento regional de serviços em 2018 nos mercados de exportação e importação (0,9% e 2,6% respectivamente). Enquanto isso, outras regiões (incluindo África, Oriente Médio e a Comunidade de Estados Independentes) apresentaram os maiores declínios (-0,6% e -7,4%). Em geral, o comércio de serviços comerciais tende a ser menos volátil do que o comércio de mercadorias.
Perspectiva para o comércio em 2017 e 2018.
Os primeiros indicadores do crescimento do comércio real aumentaram nos primeiros meses de 2017, sugerindo um fortalecimento do comércio no início deste ano. A taxa de transferência de contêineres dos principais portos recuperou-se da queda de 2018-16 para alcançar um nível recorde, com crescimento de 5,2% nos dois primeiros meses de 2017 (gráfico 8) em relação ao ano anterior. Um índice-chave das ordens de exportação mundial também subiu ao seu nível mais alto em vários anos em fevereiro, apontando para o crescimento do comércio mais rápido nos próximos meses (Gráfico 9). Finalmente, as estimativas do crescimento do PIB mundial às taxas de câmbio do mercado aumentaram de 2,3% em 2018 para 2,7% em 2017 e 2,8% em 2018.

Balançados contra essas indicações positivas são uma série de riscos claros e significativos. O crescente sentimento anti-globalização eo surgimento de movimentos políticos populistas aumentaram a probabilidade de que medidas comerciais restritivas sejam empregadas mais amplamente. Medidas estreitamente visadas provavelmente não terão um impacto significativo no comércio mundial e na produção, mas as medidas gerais ou o abandono dos acordos comerciais existentes podem prejudicar a confiança dos consumidores e das empresas e prejudicar o comércio e o investimento internacionais.
Com as pressões inflacionistas crescendo gradualmente nos países desenvolvidos, os bancos centrais também poderiam acelerar seu ritmo de aperto monetário, com conseqüências negativas para o crescimento econômico e o comércio no curto prazo. As mudanças na política fiscal também podem ter conseqüências internacionais não intencionais que poderiam reduzir a atividade econômica global e o comércio.
Na Europa, as negociações desafiadoras entre o Reino Unido e o resto da União Européia aumentarão a incerteza sobre a forma de suas relações comerciais no futuro. A dívida soberana nos países da UE altamente endividados continua a ser uma questão extraordinária que pode surgir mais uma vez nos próximos dois anos.
Estes e outros riscos são refletidos nos índices de incerteza política, que aumentaram consideravelmente desde 2018 (Gráfico 10).

Como o mercado geralmente é muito eficiente, isso significa que, excluindo custos e comissões, você acabará sem vencer nem perder uma quantidade enorme ao longo do tempo. Imagine lançar uma moeda justa, durante o longo prazo, você não esperaria perder ou ganhar muito.
Isso é ótimo no lado da perda da equação, uma vez que as perdas se tornam auto-limitantes, mas não excelentes no lado do lucro, também são limitadas. Então, você deve ganhar mais, perder menos ou vencer com mais freqüência do que você perde em termos percentuais. Não é nada mais complicado do que isso. Ou em termos percentuais ou monetários, você tem que ganhar mais do que você perde. Se você tiver uma taxa de ataque maior, é possível terminar positivo a longo prazo, mesmo que você possa perder mais quando você perder. Mas é isso porque isso acontece com menos frequência.

Eu faço isso porque eu sei de gravar dados e meus resultados de longo prazo que eu tenho uma expectativa positiva, vou ganhar ao longo do tempo. Portanto, se eu conseguir uma perda, é apenas uma dessas coisas e ganhou, não importa até que eu venha superá-la. As perdas são inevitáveis, algumas que você pode influenciar, então não se preocupe com elas. Mas se preocupe com sua vantagem a longo prazo, pois essa será a fonte de sua rentabilidade.
Mesmo que você tenha uma vantagem, dependendo de quão grande seja essa vantagem, você ainda pode perder dinheiro em uma sessão, mas ainda é lucrativo no final da semana, mês ou ano. Isso é um pouco dependente de como você moldou a oportunidade.

RecoveryZoneRangePips: размер убытка в пипсах, ïî достижении которого открывается обратная сделка RecoveryZoneExitPips: размер прибыли последней сделки в пипсах, при которой советник завершит восстановление.
3. Метод расчета лота.
Lot_Calculation_Mode - выбор варианта расчета размера лота Profit_In_Pips: при завершении восстановления это среднее значение прибыли в пипсах Profit_In_Amount: при завершении восстановления это значение суммы прибыли Lot_Multiplier: для каждой новой сделки будет использован множитель.
В зависимости от вашего выбора вы можете изменить соответствующую опцию.
4. Настройки первоначальной сделки.
Эти настройки относятся только к самой первой сделке. Настройки не имеют силы после запуска алгоритма восстановления.

I disagree with the review below. This isn't a holy grail, there's always risk involved in trading and no LRT/martingale methods are completely fool proof. This is a very comprehensive tool and it's far from a "complete waste of time and money". It does what its supposed to do very well if you take the time to understand it, the premium version even more so with many settings and options to customise. Michalis provides amazing ongoing support.

bought the EA a while back because it fits in with my hedging theories. I just used it again and I must say it is well programmed and a good compliment to my basic BBSO robot. I would be careful with lot sizes and max lots , tending to be more conservative there, as this Robot can build up large positions. The best aspect for me is the Bollinger entry . Bollinger has 5 ways to enter the market, the touch and go method ( built in this EA) works along with more complex entries that I personally use in my EAs. The author is obviously a good programmer and judging by the longevity of his product , quality control is very good. I am particularly fond of this algorithm and hedging preferring not to use stops myself . This product facilitates this technique. There are many combinations of entries and exits possible with this EA, so it is well worth investigating. Well done Michalis.
Excellent service that you will always feel somebody backing up you until you familiar with the ea. Needless to say an ea with great potential for consistent profit unlike the other ea such as grid and scalping. This ea offer you great risk management and adjustable desired monthly return if you hardworking enough to try the setting. Remember, great sword provided to a swordsman does not mean he will win the battle, it depend on the swordsman how to utilize the great sword. In this case this ea is definitely a great sword. It is actually an amazing EA. If you can optimise the EA settings to suit your trading style, there is a lot of profits to be made. I used the rented version for three months and I was still satisfied with it by the end of that duration. I managed to create consistent results with it once I found the right setup.
After using it on a real account for a week i have to say that´s is a great product. Have no Losses. With the correct setup you will see how your account increases. The first days i tried differents setups and finally find the correct one.
It´s important to leave the EA work and do not touch anything. Dont close any position for yourselve. Let the EA do that. At the end you will see the profits.
It also important to setup correctly when the recovery starts and revoery exit. I´m using a different from the default, but i think the default settings are almost good for the principals currencies.
You only have to be patient and beware of the %risk you use. Patience is the secret. Dont pretend double your account in a week. Take it easy and you are going to make very goods profits.

06/11/2018: Update: Still risk is involved. When trade is going against us in both side, EA will keep opening trades on both side with higher LOT size which would lead to Margin Call. When Margin call occurs, EA would fail to open further orders to Hedge. Even though it is Hedging, when margin call comes it will scare as. Use it with CAUTION. It is recommended that initial Lot should be 0.01 LOT. Otherwise EA might lead to problem quickly if trades were not favorable to you.
Update: 13/12/2018 - Inspite of optimistic settings it blew my Demo account. This EA will not help you when trade is ranging. While ranging it keeps opening new trades in opposite direction and blows the account. In trending, it makes some profit. It is not that worth buying.

Really good EA. Good job Mr. Mike.
Very complicated to use and with many unknown functions for normal users. No set file to be referred/available and all signals pages are terminated. I have used many similar EA (free and simple) and all are written with best setting by developers. But LRT is not. Maybe need to take long time to explore this EA.
If anyone is looking for an EA to help you look like a super pro. LRT is the one you have to have. Michalis has been great to deal with, he answers any question really quick and is always there to help during setup as I had missed of couple of things to do. He made sure the EA was running correctly and with no issues. This EA really does what Michalis says it will and I am so super happy that by some stroke of luck, I came across this EA.

In my opinion I'm pointing out that a good risk reward ratio should be combined with loss recovery trading.
Meaning that the recovery zone, for example, can represent the risk ratio.
So if this EA is used wisely, or as long as you get more experienced by time, there can be succes.

Good program. It is still a risky system, which has a "Martingale" inspiration in the sense it opens bigger positions every time to recover. Because of that reason, people have to be very careful when using this system. It is a nicely written program, so I give it 4 stars.
EDIT : I took a major blow. It confirms it is like every martingale, sooner or later, you get beaten. I put down to three stars as it is still well programmed but I will personaly stop using it. Too risky for the long term.

Update: 27/2/16: after using LRT just for 4 days, return on equity hit 12.5% (incl. floating P&L). I place manual trades based on simple trend following indicators, this past week the win rate is actually quite bad - win % less than 40%, reward to risk about 1.4. I placed the same trades in a 'control' demo a/c without LRT, which had a 4% loss. I will keep testing and plan to go live in about 3 weeks time. This EA works!

So far one of the best and honest EA available on those pages. Believe me as I have tried few and regret it. It will make pips but you got to follow author advice and use it as instructed. I am not sure why previous reviewer left bad feedbacks just like that but to answer to some of the accusations :
for one; author provide PDF and Excel sheet which explain all what you need to do. Read it and then ask questions.
two; he listen suggestion and his feedback is more than excellent. He is available on skype if you need anything. Very patient with your queries and newbie questions, very approachable person.
Three; you need tight spreads on this EA which helps a lot. I am using FxPro which is not the best for it but I am doing fine so far and eventually I will move to another broker if my testing will be satisfactory.
Four; drawdown can be limited by using limits inside EA.
Please do remember this EA dose not do magic and there is no holy grail; it was designed to work along with other strategy. It is a RECOVERY EA, which means it will try to recover your bad trades taken by other strategy and is doing this very well so far. I am using it with Trend extreme dashboard EA from the same author because of compatibility. So if your main strategy is giving you let say 70% profitable trades then other 30% is taken over by Recovery EA to put you back into profit again. How about that?
I am still testing this on real account and it looks good so far and I will let you know about my findings at later stage. I would strongly advice people to read all comments here first, try demo, ask for manuals and see what it does even on its own. Good program for loss recovery! It's like trading with a safety net. I highly recommend, can be a set it and forget it EA. Mike is the best he really knows his stuff. I use the built in MA I watch as my accounts grows slowly day by day.

Mike has developed an amazing EA and takes a personal interest in ones trading.
I have seen this strategy before, but it was for megga-bugs ($****) and was not compatible with MT4.
On top of that Mike added some amazing features, like being able to trade manually and from an external EA. This makes this EA a 5 star. I like to place manual trades, do my own analysis, and this EA cover-up where one was wrong in your analysis and gives you up to 15, and more, changes to eventually make a profit.
It turns an average external EA to a winning EA as well, by also picking up the ashes.

An excellent Expert Advisor that does what the description says. I trade manually the EURUSD and GBPJPY and I wait for the Loss Recovery EA to recover the trades in case I picked the wrong direction. You just need to pick the right settings for your account, don’t be greedy and this EA works great. Mike’s before sale and after sales support was great. He would reply to every question of mine and helped me understand the risks of using this EA.

I've tested over 1 month of demo trading. I can't say it's good because it's too risky for me. I don't know how others made good results with it. But I think seller and his description are honest so I give 3 stars for him. If you have a good strategy for it, then you too can be profitable with it. At this stage the majority of my backtesting has been profitable, and I'm just playing with the internal trading systems. Very excited to start testing with an actual trading system, where I think this EA will really shine - ie. a situation whereby if you have a win rate of 70-75%, if set up correctly this EA will let you come out with a small profit for those 25-30% times when the markets goes the wrong way rather then a loss.
The beauty of this EA too is that it can essentially be a standalone trading strategy or support another system to increase its profitability - once again, so many different ways to use it.
Mike's support is fanstastic - he is happy to give you advice and recommendations, and even have a chat about different settings and results.

I give this EA 4 stars because it has some bugs, it deletes my pending orders when it is first attached to the chart.
Second it has a 4 star rating because it is a martingale system and will eventually cause a huge draw down, the goal is to make more money then that before it happens. It is difficult to find a setting that does not trade huge lots.
Finally it is difficult to scale because a large draw down is eminent. I can only trade small lots for my trading strategy because once the algorithm kicks in the lot sizes increases exponentially.
After that is all out of the way, I do believe that it is a quality product, but buyer beware it is no silver bullet or holy grail.
I do enjoy using it, and I think that it works great with higher probability break out strategies.

"No loss" recovery hedging system.
Question: Would you be willing to trade any system or strategy you want on your $10000 account and turn every trade you take into a win trade (of $200 or $20) or a breakeven trade and have only a small theoretical chance of losing let's say $600 in worst case scenario?
Some traders would probably say no, if your answer to this question is also NO, then have a nice day;) If your answer is YES or MAYBE, then before you will jump out of your seat thinking you just found a holly grail of trading, please read carefully all stuff below and download and test a demo version of my newest EA, because it might also work for you!
So everything started with the following simple question:
"Is it possible to design a recovery system that is using a smart hedging mechanism able to "beat" the forex market? - and also your broker "
Apparently and surprisingly the answer to that question is YES*.
(*= of course only under certain conditions)
So to prove the statement above, I've coded an EA that is using "back-and-forth" hedging mechanism (it's NOT a martingale system), which I'll explain in the pdf manual. This trading technique is probably not new and maybe it is also discussed many times on this forum. However, I couldn't find any EA for it so I've coded my own.
Thus, just for the illustration let's say you have just entered a "sell" trade and you are now waiting to see what will happen next. Let's think about this situation for a moment. For sure we cannot predict the upcoming market events with a 100% accuracy. Then what can we say regarding the future market direction? Unless you are an extremely experienced trader, the answer is of course: not so much! However, the one and the only one peace of reliable information, that we have at that moment, is that the market will eventually go "up" or "down" w. r.t. the current price level. It can take a day, a week or even a month but the market will move up or down, simply because it has to!
We can take this one peace of reliable information and use it to our advantage. And here is how:

Thus, when the first trade is a "sell" order and market moves several pips in the opposite direction (up), then we could open a new "buy" position, and vice-versa. While doing this back-and-forth hedging we could also calculate the new Lot size required to cover for our previously opened trade(s) at our original TakeProfit, but ALSO at our original StopLoss level! By doing some simple mathematical calculations we can easily discover that the Lot sizes of our new recovery trades are not necessary always bigger than the previous ones. This is so much better than a martingale system which will just blow up your Lot sizes just within a few trades.
Of course there are some constrains, w. r.t this trading methodology. For example we need to make sure our open trades will not eat up our freemargin, which we will use to open new trades in case of market direction change. So this automatically means (unless you have a $100000 account) that we need to trade only with small lot sizes, e. g.: using mini lots (0.1 of standard Lot size) but also not to small e. g.: micro lots (0.01 Lot size) because of calculation errors that are introduced by the "MODE_MINLOT and MODE_LOTSTEP" restrictions. Furthermore our account size needs to be large enough to be able to cover for some equity dips and the required margin. Our StopLoss and TakeProfit levels need to be carefully chosen to minimize the resulting recovery lot sizes. We also need to make sure the system can survive several recovery attempts, when market will be ranging. (The wise recommendation for ranging condition is to exit at the best price and take some small losses). Furthermore, we need to add some on-the-fly correction for our spreads, slippages and swaps and commissions. To help the system a little bit we will also add a BreakEven with a TrailingStopLoss mechanism and will also automatically close all positions when our pre-set ForceTakeProfit target is hit.
Nevertheless, this type of trading could have some potential for success when positions are opened manually or according to a proven trading system. How about the risks involved in this kind of trading? It depends on several factors like: account size vs lot size, spreads and slippages, selected recovery levels, etc. As I said before the most important is to avoid ranging markets and assuring our account has sufficient FreeMargin for opening new trades. Otherwise the system will not be able to recover and it will take a loss. The only way to find out the limits of this system is to play.
with it and adapt the parameters according to desired trading behavior. Please try it first on your demo account or in strategy tester (99% modelling only!) When the settings are properly chosen you will see, that it is really very very hard to lose money with this system.

I was thinking how to improve this system even more and I think I have succeeded in doing that. So the main problem occurs during the ranging market conditions. Then the EA will keep opening buy and sell positions every time the price will cross the recovery line levels. In worst case scenario it could open even 10 positions (or even more). This will totally destroy the FreeMargin level and introduce a risk of "unfinished recovery" cycle. So my idea.
was to introduce a "moving recovery target" mechanism. The idea is to shift the recovery levels closer to the market, each time a new recovery trade is opened. Doing so, the EA would be targeting lower and lower recovery levels and this would increase the chance of successful recovery.
To test this improved recovery system the EA (version 01.1) is programmed to enter the market almost randomly, where every new market entry decision is based only on the information from the previous candle and a new position is automatically opened when the previous trade (or trade group) is closed. The entry logic is:
This is of course the stupidest entry algorithm ever, so normally your account would be wiped out in several days. This kind of trading would end in a random walk towards the $0 line. So let's run a backtest from 2007 until now and see if this system can survive this worst case random test.

So as you can see, apparently this strategy can withstand even 7 years of random trading! Personally I think it is, a very GOOD result.
